Abstract:
The inBetweeners roadmap is going to be fueled by partnerships, drops, and collaborations alongside the world’s most recognizable brands. We would like to standardize the way we roll out new collections while maximizing the value for existing holders.
What is inBetweeners Drip?
Drip is how we consolidate all partnerships and collaborations for holders to extract value, in a way that is fun and easy to understand. From a technical perspective, Drip is a token hosted on another contract and can also be bought and sold like any other NFT on Opensea, LooksRare, Nifty Gateway, etc.
How does it work?
When it is time for holders to claim their Drip, holders simply visit the Drip Dashboard [in development] to verify ownership of their bears, claim their Drip (holders only need to pay gas fees), and your token will appear in your wallet.
What can you do with Drip?
Why are we doing this?
To make it easy for holders to extract the value out of our growing list of collaborations and partnerships. If you want to upgrade your floor bear, you can. If you don’t want the drip, you can sell it. If you want the physical item, you can spend the token (removing supply) and receive the physical good.
Does Drip affect the rarity of my inBetweener?
No, Drip does not affect the underlying metadata of your inBetweener, only the art file.
The Vote
The Drip Dashboard opens a whole new world of opportunities that will mesh the fabric of Web3 with Web2, however, some may view this as a fundamental change in the token itself and we wanted to be respectful of that. While we’re excited about what the future of Drip collections can do for the community, we want to set a strategy that is inclusive and does not undermine our holders.
Below you can vote whether you’re “For or Against” having the Drip token modify the art. If you’re For, an extra utility of Drip will be allowing certain attributes to be upgraded and swapped. If you’re Against, holders will still be able to sell their token or redeem it for the IRL good.
Option One: Drip Tokens will be able to modify/upgrade art Option Two: Drip Tokens will not be able to modify/upgrade art
