inBetweeners x Genies Wearables Project

ABSTRACT

Genies is an ecosystem that allows users to create and output a personal customized avatar. These avatars can appear consistent across each of your social channels and, in the future, across metaverses.

The Genies app is the heart of creating and customizing your “Genie.” From the app, one is able to customize all aspects of the Genie including clothing and accessories. By default, the Genies app offers hundreds of head to toe clothing, accessories and footwear options.

For creators and projects like inBetweeners, Genies' “Warehouse” marketplace of things where we can sell inBetweeners wearables. Future plans will allow users to buy and sell peer to peer.

Currently, Genies wearables are sold as rare or common editions.

​​Genies is a well funded startup that has raised over $100m+ USD from investors including Silverlake, Bob Iger, and NEA. Genies is also the official avatar ecosystem for UMG Universal Music Group’s talent including our own Justin Beiber, J. Balvin, Nikki Minaj and others.

The consumer app is currently in beta mode.

GOAL

Create a collection of inBetweeners wearables for the Genies ecosystem with a focus on special holder-only editions that are airdropped via blockchain snapshot.

We also know that there is interest by the current Genies beta community to have access to an inBetweeners collection. For this reason, we are asking the community to vote on a second inBetweeners collection for sale to the “public.”

WHY

We believe that the Genies ecosystem has staying power and can benefit current and future inBetweeners holders. With “inBetweeners Bear" Genies, we can create marketing extensions for the project on platforms we believe will be market leading for years to come.

BENEFIT

inBetweeners will be the first NFT/pfp project to create customized wearables for Genies.

inBetweeners holders benefit from first access to the Genies app and ecosystem. Holders will also receive exclusive inBetweeners branded Genies wearable airdrops.

ONBOARDING

inBetweeners holders will receive beta access to the Genies app to take part in the collection launch and ecosystem. Please note that Genies app is currently iOS only and requires users to install Testflight app to download their beta app.

BLOCKCHAIN AND DAPP

Genies ecosystem and wearables are currently deployed on the FLOW blockchain using Dapper Wallet integration, the same wallet one would use when interacting with NBA Topshot and UFC Strike, two other projects on the FLOW blockchain.

FUNDING REQUESTED:

Genies is providing launch support for the majority of the project including dev help, access to their toolkit and marketing. The cost to us is in creating and producing the wearables which we estimate to be around $4,000USD.

With that in mind, any revenue associated with the sale of the Genies wearables collection that comes back to inBetweeners will be directed into the community wallet.

APPROVALS AND MANAGEMENT

All art, design and creative will be approved by Gian Pero with day to day management by the partnership team.

INBETWEENERS HOLDER COLLECTION

The first wearable in the collection is a holder-only “bear suit” split into a helmet and body, based on the iconic blue bear. Based on Snapshot, holders will be airdropped the “bear suit” into their Genies wallet. The “bear suit” will be rare.

Two more holder-only “surprise” rare wearables will be created. These items will also be airdropped to inBetweeners holders via snapshot.

PROPOSED INBETWEENER PUBLIC COLLECTION

We ask the inBetweeners community to vote on the scope of a publicly available collection for the Genies ecosystem. This collection will be unique from the holder collection.

The public collection will further extend the inBetweeners brand beyond the borders of the collection and into new areas. The hope is that extended visibility drives inBetweeners awareness and ultimately value for inBetweeners holders.
