Summary

The Governance Workgroup is authorized to make changes to the settings of the Snapshot space of the IPOR DAO, in particular the following:

• voting strategies
• validation settings
• voting settings, especially quorum
• delegation settings

Changes must be announced 7 days in advance in the Discord channel #the-senate. Changes may only be made if no objections have been raised in the form of a Snapshot vote within this period. If objections are raised, the changes may only be made once the Snapshot vote containing the objections has been rejected by the DAO.

The members of the Governance Workgroup are listed in a pinned message in the Discord channel #the-senate.

These authorizations can be revoked by the DAO at any time.

Theme/Problem/Issue

The Snapshot space settings occasionally require minor changes, such as adding pwIPOR tokens on a new L2 to the voting strategies, or increasing the quorum according to the increasing circulating supply.

Having each of these smaller changes formally voted on via a Snapshot vote would overload DAO governance.

Solution

Such decisions should therefore be delegated to the Governance Workgroup. The decision within the workgroup is made with a simple majority. The 7 day period prevents misuse.

Timeline/Steps

1. Present the proposal to the community: The proposal will be presented to the IPOR community for feedback and discussion for 7 days.
2. Vote: After this period the proposal will be moved to #formal-governance and a Snapshot vote will be held.
3. Implementation: not necessary
4. Monitor and evaluate the changes: After the changes have been implemented, it will be important to monitor their impact on IPOR and the community.
