Summary

This proposal announces the four shortlisted logo and branding samples from the community and agency partners for the Forward Labs ($FWD) rebranding process, as per CIP-4: New Brand Name for JADE. We are now seeking a community consensus on which logo and branding elements will represent our newly renamed project, Forward Labs ($FWD), in the subsequent migration to the Arbitrum network.

Abstract

Jade Protocol is rebranding as Forward Labs, and this proposal is focused on defining the new brand assets for Forward Labs. The following four options were generated by community members and branding agencies that were engaged as per the terms of CIP-4. During the drafting period, we encouraged feedback, improvements, and additions to the shortlisted brand elements from the community both on Discord and on our governance platform. The logos are now moving onto a Snapshot vote. This will be a ranked choice vote, and the logo receiving the majority vote will serve as the cornerstone for further brand development.

Motivation

Rebranding JADE Protocol as Forward Labs ($FWD) was a significant step in the project's evolution, voted for by our community. The new brand will be more representative of our direction and values. We are now seeking community involvement and consensus in choosing the visual elements that will best embody this change.

Next Steps

Community Liaison, Jon Ray, will collaborate with the winning designer or agency to develop the following assets:

• Final Logo Design: Creation of the final version of the logo in various formats (PNG, JPG, SVG, etc.).
• Website Design: Collaboration with the development team to create a comprehensive website design reflecting the brand's visual style.
• Social Media Graphics: Development of social media graphics, profile pictures, cover photos, and other graphical elements across multiple platforms.
• Final Brand Guideline Document: A detailed guideline including logo usage, typography, color palette, and design elements instructions.

All assets are expected to be finalized within 4-weeks of this vote concluding on Snapshot.

This is a ranked choice vote, meaning you will rank your preference from (1) Highest Preference to (5) Lowest Preference. There will be a 24-hour warm-up period followed by a 5 day voting window.
