Summary

Allocate $7k of treasury funds for a weeklong meme contest in tandem with Jade’s upcoming launch on Avalanche.

Motivation

Jade Protocol will be ramping up marketing initiatives over the coming weeks in light of our multi-chain launch and project updates.

We are proposing the allocation of 7k $BUSD in treasury funds to incentivize community engagement and leverage Twitter as a promotional tool.

Details

If ratified, this initiative would allocate 7k $BUSD to a memes contest held over Twitter. The contest will launch in tandem with Jade’s deployment on Avalanche. A winning meme will be selected daily by our team over the course of a week. Seven winners will receive 1k $BUSD each.

Contest winners will not be eligible to win more than once. Priority will be given to entrants based on quality, humor and knowledge of the ecosystem. We will screen for “professional contest entrants”, aka people uninvolved with the project who take a random meme, slap a token logo on it, and enter it in multiple contests.

Voting

The vote has a 24 hour warmup period in order to foster community discussion before the vote goes live.

The vote will commence on 12-March, 2022 at 02:00 GMT and conclude on 18-March, 2022 at 03:00 UTC.

Voting weight will be measured by balance of sJADE at the block number at time of posting.
