JBP-100 - Distribute JBX to Nicholas’ List

Summary:

Distribute a total of 8,195,000 JBX to the contributors listed in Nicholas’ JBX Token distribution list.

Abstract:

Nicholas is a delegate who received 8.3 million JBX as a part of the JBX Distribution Program established by JBP-54. This JBX was returned to the multisig for later distribution, along with a “JBX Token distribution list”. If passed, this proposal would distribute JBX according to the contributors and amounts on that list.

Motivation:

• Further distribution of JBX mitigates existential risks to Juicebox and the Juicebox ecosystem. The more decentralized JBX is, the more resilient the ecosystem is to individual bad actors or hostile takeovers.
• Further JBX distribution will allow for governance to more closely reflect the views of the Juicebox community at large.
• Respecting the views and input of Nicholas.

Risks:

• This proposal will dilute the voting power of JBX holders not on the list.
• JBX going to the right people is paramount to the future of Juicebox. This distribution trusts that Nicholas picked contributors that will represent Juicebox and its best interests.
