Reduce and renew Matthew & Brileigh’s recurring payout for $4500/ruleset for eight (8) rulesets and send a one-time 10M JBX payout to juicecast.eth.
As contract and juicebox.money development transitions to maintenance mode, the importance of attracting projects to the protocol and helping them succeed remains an essential need. By leading recent campaigns including Juicecrowd (JC01) and Free Alexey & Roman, Matthew and Brileigh have demonstrated that they are uniquely positioned to drive protocol adoption and project success. The DAO should continue to fund these efforts and allocate JBX to M+B so that incentives are properly aligned moving forward.

M+B worked closely with the WeWantJusticeDAO team and JBDAO members (TJL, Wraeth, Filip, Aeolian, and others) to launch a project to raise funds for Alexey Pertsev and Roman Storm’s legal defense. The campaign raised nearly $500k USD (243+ ETH) in the first 72 hours and has brought in nearly 600 individual payments at the time of writing.

Supporters of the campaign have included Vitalik Buterin, Kevin Owocki (Gitcoin), Bankless (Ryan Sean Adams & David Hoffman), Jesse Powell (Kraken), Sassal (The Daily Gwei), Laurence Day, Lefteris Karapetsas (Rotkia), Martin Köppelmann (Gnosis), McKenna, Ran Neuner, Wilson Cusack, and many others + anons.

The campaign has also resulted in the first onchain NounsDAO proposal which, if passed, would pay a Juicebox project:

M+B worked closely with Peel to launch Juicecrowd, a new app built on the battle-tested Juicebox contracts that makes it easy to crowdfund onchain. Working with a hand-picked cohort of eight projects, the JC01 campaign raised over $269k USD (119 ETH) from 200+ individual payments.

M+B successfully submitted Juicecrowd to The Dapp List and earned Top Project of The Week. This led to the Brume Wallet team discovering Juicebox and joining JC01 per our suggestion. With our help, Brume later raised over $260k USD (166+ ETH) with nearly 200 individual payments. Brume’s success comprised over 97% of JC01’s total volume.

M+B were involved with every aspect of the product launch and campaign including:
JBDAO members have increasingly focused on Twitter/X and Farcaster as a growth strategy for Juicebox. Our efforts via @juicebox_money (Twitter/X), @juicebox (FC), and our personal accounts have significantly contributed to this. The @juicebox_money follower count has nearly tripled and earned over 120k impressions in both December 2023 and January 2024.

In addition to promoting projects gaining traction on Juicebox (e.g. CryoDAO, MijaniDAO), JBM Twitter has also been an excellent outlet for JBX education like the post below which helps explain the Buyback contract and how it benefits JBX holders:

The campaign for Alexey Pertsev and Roman Storm’s legal defense is scheduled to run until February 22nd, but WeWantJusticeDAO has expressed interest in extending the campaign. We will continue to lead the campaign and work closely with their team, including (but not limited to):
For the last year, M+B have incurred the following recurring expenses as contributors to JBDAO:
Add $4500 USD recurring payout from ruleset 69 to ruleset 76 (inclusive) to project ID 552 (https://juicebox.money/@juicecast) and transfer 10M JBX from the multisig to juicecast.eth.
We are proposing to renew our payout to reflect our continued workload and commitment to the Juicebox ecosystem. The USD amount per ruleset has been lowered by 25% with a JBX allocation included to align incentives as we help campaigns succeed.
Matthew might lose his streak in the gm channel (currently 677).
This proposal should take effect in ruleset 69 (nice) and last eight (8) rulesets.
