I'm convinced JuiceboxDAO and the protocol that it stewards should tend toward zero expenditures and changes in order to a) encourage self-sustainable experiments atop it that have self-contained opportunities and risks, and b) minimize ops overhead for clients facilitating protocol interactions, documentation authors, and JBX holders who manage the treasury.
I'm excited to build atop the work I've helped orchestrate over the past year stabilizing an extensible protocol and supporting inter-connected full-stack strategies across the JB ecosystem to make Zero a sustainable and productive outcome.
After carrying the load designing and implementing the core protocol, documentation, DAO operations, and project onboarding/strategizing for much of the early part of this past year, I've now had big chunks of these day-to-day responsibilities offloaded to amazing contributors that have taken them on and expanded their efficacy far past what I could've managed alone.
It's allowed me to spend the last half of 2022 leveraging my full-stack understanding of JB and its creative potential to fill the more high-level role of helping cross-project strategy, prioritization, and focus:
JB721Delegate contract, and coordinated with Peel, StudioDAO, Defifa, and others over many months to make it available and useful to all.My motivation is now threefold:
First, I plan to encourage the technical implementation and ratification of remaining core componentry that had versioning efforts as pre-requisites:
Each of these efforts are meant to be a) generalizable for any Juicebox project, and b) give projects tools leverageable for new revenue streams and self-sustainability.
Second, I plan to encourage JuiceboxDAO to assess its expenditure and token issuance strategies more critically, and help projects design treasury configurations that make opportunities/risks clearer to capital allocators. I imagine a world where JuiceboxDAO's greatest assets are the project tokens it holds from contributions to Peel, WAGMI, Lexicon Devils, etc. I think it's important for JuiceboxDAO to begin treating our expenditures more like bets, it'll help us identify tools and strategies missing from the Juicebox toolset that contribute to capital allocator confidence.
Lastly, I plan on spending more time contributing to the development and sustainability of independent projects such as Defifa, Peel, Blunt, WAGMI, Nance, StudioDAO, etc -- with more to come. I plan on tapering my JuiceboxDAO payout requests as my work on the core protocol and strategy subside, and take on new risks/opportunities with my time. So many ecosystem projects are brilliantly staffed and have so much potential, I want to help make these successful regenerative treasuries and feel my full-picture and full-stack understanding of the Juicebox ecosystem can help continue expanding opportunities for all despite nudging JuiceboxDAO toward zero.
Recurring payout of $21,000 to project ID 55 for 6 cycles.
Standard process.
Trusting Jango with execution.
Next possible funding cycle.
