Creation of the Jenny Gaming Sub-DAO to manage play-to-earn NFT assets

Voting ended about 4 years agoSucceeded

Play-to-earn offers the Jenny DAO a chance to receive sustainable and recurring income. This revenue flow may support the DAO’s long term ambitions to build one of the highest quality NFT collections in the world while offering on-chain ownership rights and accessibility through fractionalization.

We propose the formation of the Jenny Gaming Sub-DAO. It will be responsible for managing gaming assets. The mandate of the sub-DAO will be somewhat different from the parent Jenny DAO. Jenny DAO will continue collecting high quality NFTs and locking them in its gallery. Meanwhile the Jenny Gaming sub-DAO’s NFTs will be used to generate yield through play-to-earn gaming opportunities.

The Jenny DAO benefits from the fact that it incubated the Tuzanye Guild out of Uganda. This forms the backbone of a strategic alliance between a community of NFT collectors and a community of esports players. The Jenny DAO stands to benefit from sustainable revenue generation and the guild benefits from access to valuable NFTs.

The sub-DAO will have the flexibility to acquire and dispose of NFT assets based on community votes. The funds provided from NFT disposals and play-to-earn activities will be held in treasury and will be governed by the Jenny Token. Whether these funds get recycled back into more gaming NFTs, used to finance the curatorial activities of the parent Jenny DAO or get used for Jenny Token buybacks will be entirely at the discretion of the Jenny Token holders.

The initial funding of the sub-DAO will be financed by Jenny DAO’s treasury and will require approval through a community vote.
