PIP - 28 - Enable NFT Staking & Airdrop Claiming

Abstract: Seeing as NFTs holder often benefit from extra services such as airdrops and staking programs, this proposal aims at allowing borrowers to be able to stake NFTs in deposit on JPEG'd as well as build the functionality to claim airdrops related to the NFTs in deposit.

Background:

NFT Staking: JPEGd would start by supporting the upcoming BAYC/MAYC staking, and Moonbirds nesting. Third party staking programs could be added to the dApp for the relevant collections as they are rolled out and are technically possible to implement by the JPEG’d team. Due to the complexity of the different staking programs, the team would be free to evaluate risk associated and decide wether to implement them or not.

Airdrop Claiming: NFT holders often benefit from airdrops and community listing for mints. When technically feasible, JPEG’d borrowers would have the possibility to claim both NFTs/tokens drops related to their NFTs, as well as be able to go on airdrop claiming dApps to claim their drops. This process would only be possible after a security whitelisting of the airdropped / mint contract by the JPEGd team if timing allows.

Proposal: If such programs exist for supported collections, allow team to evaluate and implement the ability to stake and claim eventual airdrops/mints for NFTs in deposit at JPEGd .
