PIP-27 - Enable BAYC Traits Multiplier

Voting ended over 3 years agoSucceeded

Abstract: Several BAYCs are valued higher than floor, while currently JPEG'd values all BAYC at floor using an oracle from Chainlink. This proposal would introduce multipliers for certain BAYC traits to be valued higher than floor.

Background: Following the punk multiplier PIP, this proposal would apply multipliers to selected BAYC attributes giving them a higher credit limit on the JPEG'd protocol by locking $JPEG. The same locking parameters as for Punks traits would apply to BAYCs:

  • Lock can be set to any time period
  • The amount of JPEG to lock is equal to 10% of the of the increased credit limit
  • If the user does not relock JPEG when the lock expires the BAYC value would return to floor.

Here are the proposed multiplier values for the top BAYC traits:

  • Fur-Solid Gold: 8x
  • Eyes-Blue Beams: 3.5x
  • Fur-Trippy: 3.5x
  • Clothes-Black Suit: 3x
  • Mouth-Bored Unshaven Pizza: 2x
  • Eyes-Laser Eyes: 1.75x
  • Hat-King's Crown: 1.75x
  • Hat-Trippy Captain's Hat: 1.75x
  • Clothes-Space Suit: 1.5x
  • Clothes-Hip Hop: 1.5x
  • Mouth-Grin Diamond Grill: 1.5x
  • Mouth-Grin Gold Grill: 1.5x
  • Mouth-Bored Unshaven Dagger: 1.25x
  • Mouth-Bored Dagger: 1.25x
  • Mouth-Bored Pizza: 1.25x
  • Clothes-Pimp Coat: 1.25x

These values would take the BAYC floor oracle from Chainlink and apply the above multipliers. As such, their valuations fluctuate with movements of the floor oracle. Changes to these multipliers or additional traits can be added with a valid PIP.

Proposal: Implement BAYC trait multipliers with the above values and specifications.
