The Hopper Stairs

Background for the proposal:

The My Pet Hooligan discord & community lacks clear stairs of promotion to incentivize members to contribute, to strive towards something being an active community member.

Members creating awesome game content are underutilized. I have seen content creators content quality from people who rarely play our game & can with confidence say our community has gems who create higher quality MPH content. (for example EssVee)

My Pet Hooligan & its creators need to start posting game content on multiple platforms outside X as the game has great pull through short-form content. The impact even one viral clip can have on the game’s steam wishlists or new players is beyond remarkable.

Some community members have given so much support, caring and initiative for the project they deserve a way to reach a moderator role to play. (for example Smoke)

I propose a 3-month trial for a community program called “The Hopper Stairs”:

Goals:

• Make the My Pet Hooligan community stronger, safer & more engaging
• Give the community members a clear stairs to climb by taking initiative
• Empower our community’s most talented content creators

Total Budget for the proposal: 284 000 karrat tokens Monthly budget 93 000 karrat tokens 5000 karrat tokens for fees over the 3months

The Hopper stairs is a stairs-like role-system where limited amount of members earn their spots.

Once the proposal passes: the program begins with a 2-week application period

• the application process is handled by the Senior Mods in the My Pet Hooligan discord After this application process is handled, the 3month time period begins instantly.
• Senior mods will promote, demote or maintain member levels each of these 3 months.

Levels of the program:

Level 1 is a community member with no special role.

Level 2 is a Top Hopper: They will act as role-models for community members and spark activity across discord & My Pet Hooligan’s socials. They contribute a lot using their own strengths.

• 12 Top Hoppers to begin with
• Each gets 3000 karrat tokens as monthly incentive
• They get discord role tag & special name colour

Level 3 is a Brand Hopper: They will produce weekly content, post on multiplatform seeking virality & showing example to others on content creation. Their clips will make it to MPH socials and award submissions often.

• There will be 7 Brand Hoppers to begin with
• Each gets 6000 karrat tokens as monthly incentive
• They get discord role tag & special name colour

Level 4 is a Community Moderator: They will take initiative with community’s proposals, content & educating while leading the rest of the community by example.

• There will 1 to begin with
• 15 000 karrat tokens as monthly incentive
• They get discord role tag & special name colour

Note: the monthly incentives are paid within 7 days after each full month of being in the role

Senior Mods combine 3 reports after the 3months to evaluate the impact :

1. Combined metrics of the Brand Hoppers views & engagement across all the socials
2. Discord channels activity metrics improvement
3. Community discord sentiment surveys, compare before & after

Additional Clause: The senior moderators have full flexibility over the distribution of the monthly incentives. Meaning they can freely change the amounts of members in each tier, and the incentive sizes of each tier: without having to explain themselves.
