Proposal: Reduce Council Member payment. The current council payment structure is unsustainable and disproportionate to the actual responsibilities required. At present, each council member is receiving $60,000 per year, totaling $180,000 annually—a massive burden on the treasury and ultimately on the community. At current Karrat valuations, this is the equivalent of millions of Karrat. It’s simply not reasonable for a role that requires minimal work and may never even be needed.
By reducing council payment from $5,000 to $1,000 per month per member, the community will save $144,000 every year—a substantial amount that can be redirected toward growth, development, and long-term sustainability. Why This Proposal Benefits the Karrat Community
