KIMCHI is an inflationary token. Everyday, more and more KIMCHI tokens are created. As more tokens are created, the value of the KIMCHI token decreases.
The most obvious solution to this would be to replace the existing KIMCHI smart contracts in order to remove the token minting functions that continuously create more and more KIMCHI tokens.
In light of the current status of the Kimchi project, it may not be possible to change the existing set of Kimchi smart contracts. Although it is possible to add additional contracts.
Adding new contracts to the Kimchi ecosystem can create an opportunity to introduce deflationary components which can counteract the inflationary effects of the current set of contracts.
We will need to do some real creative thinking to come up with effective deflationary components.
But the first step is to decide whether or not we want to take the path of adding deflationary components to the current set of Kimchi contracts.
If we chose to take that path, then we will need to evaluate the possible deflationary components to determine which ones are the most likely to produce the desired outcome. Then we will need to put forth a plan for implementing those deflationary components.
Proposal:
Add a deflationary component to counteract the inflationary function of the current set of Kimchi contracts.
