ETHDenver $RERRO Token

This proposal introduces the creation of the $RERRO, an ERC-20 token that will be used in a promotional contest we’re planning for ETHDenver 2024 called the $RERRO Quest. $RERRO may also be used in future engagement activities.

Proposal Details

• Token: $RERRO, based on a historical KONG Land meme, will be an ERC-20 token on the Base Layer 2 network.
• Supply: There will be an initial supply cap of 14,997,495 $RERRO. (Fun fact: this number was the block number associated with the passport reveal)
• Utility: $RERRO is designed solely as a points system to track participation in the IRL $RERRO Quest game. $RERRO serves no purpose outside the $RERRO Quest.

Why $RERRO?

Ferrero Rochers are deeply interwoven with the beginnings of KONG Land, forming an essential part of its rich history (IYKYK). Affectionately termed 'Rerros,' they are celebrated as the ambrosia of KONG Land's citizens, embodying the golden spirit and 'up only' vitality that distinguishes KONG Land's culture.

Actions

• Create the $RERRO ERC-20 token on the Base network with minting functions for valid HaLo signatures, $CITIZENs and an initial distribution of $RERRO to the KONG Land treasury. Minting functions may be pausable and/or time gated.
• Permit the Senate to freely distribute, or allow for mint, $RERROs for the $RERRO Quest and potentially other future activities, streamlining the process without necessitating a vote for each distribution.
