tl;dr Commodore, Flex Chapman, Mario Lopes are requesting to renew their full-time contributor streams at the same compensation rate as previously requested.
A monthly budget of $42,501 USDC + 7,500 $KRAUSE to fund a set of full-time contributors. Budgets and responsibilities for each contributor are outlined below, and will be paid monthly, starting effective (in arrears) May 1st, 2022 after proposal passing. Contributors can be fired at any point by the DAO through proposal, at which point future payments will cease.
To receive payment, members of this team must retain 100% of their airdropped allocation of $KRAUSE balances for 2 years (as of Jan 1st, 2022) or until no longer being compensated as a full-time contributor.

Commodore, Flex, & Mario have been working closely on all aspects of the DAO since its’ inception giving us high context. Each of us has a general different focus, but the overlap between the 3 provides a strong foundation to be able to quickly assist all areas of the DAO.
Krause House has made incredible progress in a short period of time, yet there’s so much more left to do. A purchase of a BIG3 team is an exciting step of progress against our roadmap of building credibility, yet we aspire for many positions across many leagues to build a portfolio of credibility. We need more experimentation, governance, & ultimately wins — to show the NBA that a DAO is worthy of ownership.
What we’ve learned the most in the past 5 months is that professional sports are ready for DAOs to join the cap table. Our offer is unique & compelling. The value proposition of DAO ownership is strong, and more importantly — the future. We’ve been engaged with several NBA teams & there’s general alignment in getting a minority deal done. We intend to close one (or maybe all) of these positions. There are legal, financial, and operational negotiations + details that need to be agreed upon & implemented.
The future of Krause House has its’ hands both directly & indirectly in a portfolio of different professional sports teams. Krause House is a network of Jerrys that can bundle (and unbundle) capital + governance into the world of professional sports. Ownership in professional sports has been traditionally restricted to the wealthy few, but with web3 we have a new path to give fans a voice + equity in their passion.
We need to demonstrate success with the assets we do own, continue to initiate + close deals for more ownership positions, & provide a best-in-class DAO experience along the way for all of our Jerrys.
To demonstrate success with the assets we do own, we’ll need to focus on being the best owners we can be via the Ball Hogs. Building out a strong media presence, engaging our fans + BIG3’s, & selling merchandise for our team. Additionally, continuing to work more deeply with the BIG3 as a league to show how DAOs can serve as a partner at both the team & league level.
We continue to maintain a high bar of quality for the ownership positions worth pursuing, with our eyes set on a NBA minority position. These pitches take networking, deck building, & pitching to sell the vision of “why Krause House”. Additionally, we need to continue to invent legal / financial / operational structures to meet the needs of the NBA, lawyers, & regulations. This is a large & complex body of work, but there is a light at the end of the tunnel. We’ll continue to push the envelope here to bring a v1 solution for all of the stakeholders.
While we work on these “external” initiatives, it’s important we continue deliver a best-in-class DAO experience for our Jerrys. At the end of the day, we’re a social DAO and pride ourselves in operating at a high level as a DAO. Part of the magic of Krause House is that we’ve attracted top talent from web3 because we value DAO-excellence, this is something we must continue to prioritize attracting (and retaining) top web3 talent.
The macro environment has changed dramatically over the past few months, but these bear times are when the strong survive. Our value proposition is strong. Our talent is strong. Our progress is strong. This is our moment to be ambitious and bold. It’s time for us to double down, work hard, & deliver high quality work.

Pitched front office and ownership on a minority ownership position in the NBA. Leveraged personal relationships to engage BIG3 founders, and ultimately acquire a team (Go Ball Hogs!). Co-Host of official Krause House DAO podcast to keep current and prospective community members informed. Established partnership operations and was the main POC for all inbound partner opportunities. Served as product liaison with lead engineer to research & design internal tools, NFT project (NBA player), and analytics platform.

Devised Onboarding systems to onboard new KH members & contributors. Onboarded and coached new leaders in KH DAO. Evaluated DAO tooling products & suggested implementation options (ex. Utopia) that would make Krause House better than it was yesterday. General Steward duties - Calls, Proposal feedback, proposal discussions with Jerry's writing new submissions. Assisted with the development of KH Contributor Dashboard for KH members to organize project work. Managed the Community Discord. Recruited talent for key functions such as Education, Treasury Management & Event Planning to execute on key DAO deliverables. Recorded weeklyish newsletter & podcasts for Jerry’s Digest with community + project updates. Grew the KH network and serving as a connector for DAO members to foster collaborative opportunities. Developed a fan engagement product known as MyJerry for KH DAO & our partners use.
