KH Accelerator Proposal

Summary

This proposes that Krause House launches an accelerator for projects working in the future of sports. The accelerator would be a 6-week program with 2 official + 1 informal 90 min sessions per week. Each project approved would pledge 3% of their tokens via a tokenswap with KH (in exchange for 10,000 $KRAUSE).

What is the KH Accelerator?

Inspired by our experience at Seed Club, we propose that we build a process to help accelerate high quality projects sitting at the intersection of crypto <> sports. The accelerator would be a 6 week process with 2 official 90 min sessions per week. We’d cover a variety of topics including:

• Positioning
• Community Building
• Onboarding
• Governance
• Tokenomics
• Legal Learnings (not legal advice)
• Tooling

Some of these sessions would be led by Jerrys, others would be led by thought leaders in our network.

Why should we do this?

We’ve been approached by several incredible projects for assistance with many of the growing pains that we’ve experienced ourselves. KH is uniquely positioned to assist these other projects with insights, processes, & tools to scale their vision.

Our strategy should be collaborative working with high quality projects sitting at the same intersection as KH. Additionally, this will serve as a treasury diversification opportunity to add new tokens to our treasury.

What do we need?

Predominately $KRAUSE as well as time from a handful of Jerrys within the community.

• $KRAUSE to use for a tokenswap with the projects that we engage with.
• $KRAUSE to incentivize guest speakers.
• $KRAUSE to compensate for our operational roles to help facilitate the accelerator (scheduling, hosting, communications, etc).

Time from our talented Jerrys. The time commitment isn’t massive, but we need to value this project to support it from a variety of stakeholders to maximize success for the participants.

How much $KRAUSE?

• 100,000 $KRAUSE for the tokenswaps
• 25,000 $KRAUSE for guest speakers
• 25,000 $KRAUSE for operations

For a grand total of 150,000 $KRAUSE. Any unspent $KRAUSE will be returned to the treasury.

Additionally, we'd like to be able to use any surpluses from one budget group to compensate for other budget groups. Meaning if we have a surplus of tokens avaialble from the tokenswaps, we could deploy those for guest speakers.

Anyone on a full-time contributor compensation stream would not be eligible for $KRAUSE from this proposal.

Granting Funds

In lieu of a single wallet to hold these funds, this proposal is requesting the permission to allocate these funds on a as-needed-basis via Utopia (or similar).

When would we start?

Feb 28nd, 2022.

Duration

This proposal is for 1 cohort batch lasting approximately 6 weeks from start date.

Reversibility

In the event we needed to reverse this decision, we'd be able to stop the sessions at once and remove the obligiation for the projects to provide tokens to KH. This proposal is quite reversible.
