Member Benefits Proposal Part 1: User Research

Background

Currently, there are two primary ways for members to gain access to the Krause House discord: having a Guest Pass as well as purchasing an NFT ticket off Rarible or Opensea. We want to build incentives into the NFT ticket such that newbies wanting to contribute to Krause House would prefer buying an NFT ticket vs getting a Guest Pass. If the NFT ticket only grants access to the Discord, it’s easy to see why newbie contributors would opt for a guest pass (free) vs the NFT ticket (floor is currently .06ETH, ~$200). NFT Ticket Member Benefits help KH with member acquisition, engagement, and retention.

This proposal is one of two parts: this will be focused on user research to figure out the community breakdown and what user personas make up the DAO. We’ll leverage these insights to provide intrinsic and extrinsic benefits that all Jerry’s can benefit from in the real world (more on this later, in the proposal Part 2). Additionally, we will ensure to conduct research on holders of the guest pass — what would make them want to buy an NFT ticket?

This funding will be used for the completion of a research report which will inform the NFT benefits strategy.

User Research

Initial ideas for NFT ticket benefits include raffles for game tickets, basketball shoes, credit cards, healthcare, massages and other perks, but these are only good guesses for now – we need concrete data in order to proceed with providing benefits the community wants and needs.

Our goal from user research is to eventually be able to answer the following questions:

• How valuable would X incentive be for the Krause House community
• What is the value in intrinsic benefits vs extrinsic?
• What are the different Krause House personas and what are their wants and needs?
• What is the low hanging fruit that will boost member satisfaction and engagement?
• Are there a list of partnerships or perks that will help acquire new members and boost engagement from folks on the sidelines?
• What is the current Net Promoter Score (NPS) score from Jerry’s and how do we improve our baseline?
• Are there better ways to measure success and “Jerry Happiness”?
• What would make someone who is currently on a guest pass to buy an NFT ticket?

To answer these questions, we will:

1. Send out a survey to the Krause House community in the form of a Discord announcement, and incentivize completion of the survey with 100 KRAUSE to 3 randomly chosen members.
2. Conduct at least 20 1-1 interviews

Short-term benefits

Along with user research, we will look to provide immediate benefits to NFT Ticket holders. This will be in the form of the Jerry / Rookie of the week getting an NBA game ticket / basketball shoes, as well as other other low-hanging fruit (more ideas to come!).

Future State

Part 2 of the proposal will feature perks and benefits to explore. We will look to categorize benefits and pursue low hanging fruit that will drive the most value to Jerry’s over the next couple of months.
