Greg Full Time Funding

TLDR

In April, greg will be stepping away from his current day job to hopefully begin contributing at Krause House full time. This proposal is to contract greg, with Krause House as his primary focus, for $12,000 USDC + 4,000 KRAUSE per month for 4 months.

The role can be summarized as “designing and developing the infrastructure and applications for tomorrow’s fan-controlled sport franchises”.

Qualifications

greg has worked as a full-stack developer for nearly 4 years. He has worked in web3 development for 9 months, working with DAOs such as CityDAO (prev. lead developer), Olympus DAO, and our very own Krause House.

Day-to-Day Workflow

• Developing both experimental and production-ready protocols and applications.
• Meeting with stakeholders within target industries (sports management, sports media, content creation, etc) to understand where needs intersect with web3 value-adds.
• Writing updates on explorations, development, and feedback on protocols and applications.
• Exploring new web3 tools and tech to leverage within an NBA franchise.

The Role

This role is intended as highly focused building/prototyping/engineering time, and not management/leading of a dev team nor implementing systems for other teams/individuals. I will work with other teams (ex: analytics), but the project direction will be ultimately be decided by me.

What this role will include if this proposal is passed:

• Developing web3 systems and protocols for true fan ownership and operation of professional sports teams, most especially for basketball.
• Uncovering new approaches for NBA teams to generate revenue and provide value to their fans.
• Researching and designing these systems with the help of high-context individuals within the industry.
• Proactively strategizing where the future of the NBA lies and positioning Krause House’s offerings to align with that future.
• Purchasing an NBA team with all the other Jerry’s.

What this role will not include if this proposal is passed:

• Acting as “Dev team lead”
• Marketing developed systems to teams or the broader public
• Initiating partnerships with teams, players, and organizations
• Developing internal DAO tooling
• Recruiting and onboarding
• Day to day management of developers

I’ve put a lot of thought into where my strengths and weaknesses lie within the context of Krause House and our goal to own and operate an NBA team. I have also spoken with a number of Stewards and other high-context individuals within the DAO, and believe the perspective reflected in this proposal to be an objective evaluation of how I can best impact Krause House.

• Demos of experimental web3-based value-adding protocols for use within an NBA franchise
• Reports detailing where web3 can and cannot improve an NBA franchise’s revenue, operations, and fan engagement

• Fan NFTs, team tokens, on-chain team ownership, and other products for fan-owned teams
