Scope of Work

A stream request is designed to give contributors freedom and encouragement to work across multiple domains across the DAO; however, here are the current main focuses / intentions:

• Around The Association: Research, record, produce, and market roughly 4 podcast episodes per month that drive community engagement, demonstrate the community’s basketball acumen, break down the barrier to entry to get non-crypto fans interested in Web3 / DAOs, and generate ad revenue for the Krause House treasury. Bayesian Baller has already released 5 episodes that have collectively surpassed 360+ streams.
• NBA Team Collaboration: Bayesian Baller has already begun tapping into his network and facilitating opportunities between Krause House and stakeholders with several NBA teams. Specifically, Bayesian and Flex have been working together for the past month on developing strategies for KH to contribute to the Sacramento Kings (and/or Memphis Grizzlies) in a variety of analytics / data-driven content capacities.
• Big Ten Collaboration: Bayesian Baller’s company (Arria Boost) has a strong, working relationship with the NCAA’s Big Ten Conference. They will be working with the Big 10 throughout the B1G / NCAA Tournaments (and beyond) to produce data-driven content and long-form analytics pieces for key B1G stakeholders. Bayesian has gotten the KH Analytics Team involved and there is massive opportunity for a KH partnership here.
• OpenRuns / Pick-Up App: Bayesian Baller had previously built and launched a pickup basketball mobile-app called OpenRuns that several Krause House members are eager to pursue further. They’ve formed a #pick-up-app channel in Discord, began recruiting power users, and plan to collaborate with other teams in KH (including the NOLA court creation team + the local city channels) to use the app for KH community building efforts.
• Analytics / Media Teams: Bayesian Baller is a content creator and contributor to both the Krause House Analytics and Media Teams. In addition to his weekly podcast, he also creates audiograms, social media posts, and markets KH to the world across a variety of media channels. Weekly Breakdown

A detailed breakdown of how Bayesian Baller’s time commitment to KH will be broken down across the aforementioned projects listed in the scope of work:

• Bayesian Baller will contribute roughly 15-20 hours per week.
• The time commitment breaks down to roughly 10 hours per week towards podcasting (research, recording, post-production) and content creation (audiograms, social media). Here’s a snapshot of the current weekly time commitment:
  • 3 hours: In-depth research, question / topic preparation, & script writing.
  • 2 hours: Recording the podcast & giving guests a detailed rundown about KH.
  • 2.5 hours: Post-production, editing, audio engineering, & prep for final release.
  • 2.5 hours: Marketing, creating audiograms, & composing variety of social posts.
• The additional 5-10 hours will be spent on managing and facilitating the potential NBA team collaboration, the Big Ten x KH partnership, and the OpenRuns x KH partnership. In addition to contributing to KH’s weekly Analytics and Media Team syncs.

Bayesian Baller Background:

5+ years working professionally in basketball analytics, including the last 2.5 years as a Data Scientist / Product Manager for a leader in the basketball analytics space and the previous 2.5 years at the collegiate level with two major Div. 1 programs. Along the way, developed working relationships with a variety of influential figures in the basketball industry who will help facilitate partnerships and opportunities for Krause House to reach their ultimate goal of NBA ownership.

This contributor may submit a request for up to the specified amount based on self-assessment of their work.

Intention

This is intended to encourage contributors to take immediate action on a wide range of problems/opportunities, as opposed to proceeding through the slower process of submitting a proposal for a narrow scope of work.

We prefer to invest in and groom talent, giving them the freedom and capital they need to be entrepreneurs within our community.  We value self-starters who are able to take action and deliver quality work.

Both the community and the Stewardship team has the power to cancel this stream if it is being abused.  In addition, if a contributor abuses this trust, they are effectively burning their social credibility and ability to successfully submit proposals in the future.  We expect some lossiness; however, we believe the benefits of getting good work off the ground is worth this small cost.
