How will funds be used?

• Dallas flight for 1 weekend to film content
• Alabama flight for 2-3 days to film content
• Game day video assistant for three hours during Week 7. Potential game day assistant for three hours during week 8 games to capture generic footage (crabtree can not attend, but will direct from afar)
• One day video lighting rental if needed
• Approximately 40 hours of video capture (some already completed). Approximately 20-40 hours of editing. Additional hours of planning, setup, audio recording, and post-production
• Post-production assistant if needed (included in above editing hours)

Duration

We’ve kickstarted some efforts in July, but future work will take roughly 1-2 months to complete.

ELI5 (Explain it Like I’m 5) Project Value-Add

Through the course of the season we have captured media elements and a great narrative around the fan engagement initiatives of Uncle Jon and the Pig Pen team. This project is to piece together those elements into collateral we can present to NBA front offices and other teams.

We will produce a shorter asset (e.g. documentary trailer) that highlights Uncle Jon’s efforts for the BIG3 and its relation to the DAO. This is a value-add by:

• Building a ‘Who is Uncle Jon and The Pig Pen?’ asset for Krause House to advance media approach
• Telling a relatable, engaging story of a community member who elevated the experience for all stakeholders in our first team ownership venture
• Sharing a template and ability for a fan-controlled team to replicate during future team ownership conversations
• Showing more native media capabilities inside Krause House
• Showcasing top-tier fan activation by a fan-controlled team

Deliverables

“The Uncle Jon Story” Trailer

Overview: A trailer focusing Uncle Jon’s growing involvement with the Ball Hogs and creation of ‘The Pig Pen’. The story follows his preparation for a BIG3 game and everything that goes into it, why he got into leading Ball Hogs fans, explanation of Krause House helping facilitate this opportunity, and other interviews on what its like being Uncle Jon on and off the court. The angle is fun and humorous, but educational.

The footage will take place in Dallas during Ball Hogs and BIG3 game weekends, travel to and from the arena, and his hometown in Alabama. We have captured a fair amount already around gameday activities.

The trailer is meant to tease a full length story at a later date, which the DAO can tackle separately if needed. The asset will also be able to standalone for immediate use.

We are missing footage and interviews with key BIG3 personalities to tell this story, thus having very focused shoots moving forward.
