SUMMARY:

The NBA is putting a lot of time, effort, and resources into its affiliated NBA 2K League (2KL). For the 2022 NBA 2KL season, there is ~$2.5 million up for grabs. 24 out of 30 NBA teams have an affiliated NBA 2K team representing the club.

Our objective is to become affiliated with one of the remaining 8 NBA teams to get Krause House in with the NBA community. We will achieve this goal through multiple phases, dependent on the success of the last phase.

In phase 1 (this proposal), we are exploring the creation of a DAO2DAO NBA 2K league. This league would allow us to build and manage all aspects of a virtual team with real life players. Many of the decentralized sports operations concepts we employ throughout this venture will be tested in the virtual space, providing valuable data and feedback for remote fan engagement.

WHY THIS MATTERS:

• Our esports efforts will enhance Krause House credibility and reputation within the NBA community
• We expect future esports project phases to test KH developed remote fan engagement tools alongside decentralized sports management principles

HOW THIS WILL BE DONE:

We plan to operate lean and utilize full-time Krause House contributors as our core team, gaining additional support from team members throughout the initial exploration phase of this project.

• Phase 1: Begins April 18, 2022; esports exploration geared towards general vision + NFT NYC event planning
• Phase 2: Begins TBD; includes KH x BLVKHVND esports event at OS NYC during NFT NYC, June 20-24, 2022
