SUMMARY: Assigning a coordinator to champion the planning of NFT NYC from start to finish for NFT NYC IRL handling scope of partnerships, experiences, showcases, and gatherings.
GOAL OF PROJECT: Goal of NFT NYC: One of the largest crypto conferences in the world is NFT NYC. NYC is the mecca for attention. To create positive media attention, Krause House can create a one-of-a-kind IRL experience for attendees and can create an initiative to give back to Charity. This could lead to more global exposure → new members + new partners.
WHY THIS MATTERS: To give Krause House a physical presence at NFT NYC and give the community another way to engage + bring exposure to people that are new to web3 and Krause House.
Time is most important here to lock in a venue, partners, and vendors ASAP. Super important as NFT NYC venues are getting booked quickly.
NFT NYC Dates: Tue, Jun 21, 2022 – Thu, Jun 23, 2022
HOW THIS WILL BE DONE: Finalize NFT NYC framework/scope and use the community to help choose the specific elements to plug and play into the framework Hire agency to plan logistics / event.
Initial Vision:
Coordinator will then hire an agency capable enough to execute the vision of the coordinator for this experience. Coordinator will be responsible to oversee agency and external partners in planning logistics and curating the event.
For this, we propose two required budgets - one for the coordinator and one for the agency retainer
Coordinator Budget: Scope: From proposal passing → June 25th (~ 4months) = $10,000 = $2500/Month. Budget will go towards time spent to curating the scope of the NFT based on what the community demands and executing on the vision + closing partners/sponsors for NFT NYC. Agency Retainer Budget:
From experience and after interviewing a few different agency options the average agency retainer budget we are seeking to be pre-approved is $15,000. This retainer will be used by the agency to front expenses for their team to act immediately and get the necessary pieces in place for NFT NYC week. Another proposal will be passed to finalize selection of agency and scope they’re operating under.
Event Budget Breakdown Estimate:
Location: 30k 3rd Party Counsel (Marketing, Legal): 15k Event Vendors: 20k Installations + Partnerships: 40k Giveaways + Prizes: 10k Content Team: 10k Total: 150k
Disclaimer: The coordinator and agency budget has been fixed but the event budget is an over-estimate. Our goal is to stay as lean as possible and spend less that six figures.
TEAM: dbag#3251 - Has experience in curating intimate activations and pop-up experiences meant for high engagement and interaction. CLAUSE: Both the community and the Stewardship team have the power to cancel the payment if this project does not deliver what is outlined above. In addition, if a contributor abuses this trust, they are effectively burning their social credibility and ability to successfully submit proposals in the future. We believe the benefits of getting good work off the ground is worth this small cost.
