Role: Marketing & Community Outreach Specialist

Initiative:

Connect with the local community to create a fan base for the game on July 30th. Run social media during the game and produce high level content to keep fans engaged who are not at the live event. Stewardship team may cancel this agreement at any point. Stewards may cancel this agreement if BIG3 ceases operations that would impact this stream.

This proposal can also be canceled via community vote (as is the case with any proposal)

  • All the fees may be subject to change depending on when this proposal gets approved.

Funds will be sent to Abrahamm.eth in the form of USDC. Once the proposal is approved, will book flight and hotel. Receipts for flight and hotel will be provided and any unused amount will be reimbursed.

Project Details & Approach

  1. Outreach and connect with basketball influencers in the Dallas area.
    1. AAU Coaches
    2. Boys and Girls Club
    3. Basketball Influencers in the area
    4. Summer School programs
  2. Research activities for the week of the 30th.
    1. Scout 1-3 locations to make an appearance at every single day leading into the games and offer tickets and swag (Shirts, wristbands)
    2. Goal is to enlist a few players for content marketing and appeal. I will reach out to and connect with basketball influencers in the area. We can offer to pay them $75-$100 to make an appearance at one of the locations or all of the locations I get scheduled. They would have to approve of this fee of course. Any expenses will be documented.
    3. Get in front of as many kids as possible to make an impact with the game of basketball. Play games like knock out and get all the kids involved. Inform and educate what we are doing and invite them all out to the free event on Friday July 29th and the game on July 30th.
  3. The goal is to schedule an event Friday July 29th in a gym in Frisco, TX.
    1. The plan is to have tons of freebies to give out and make the event free for youth to come out too. The impact we want to create is to have the community, families and especially the youth to come out and support a positive sport.
    2. Apple Thomas is in the Dallas area and has been working with Ball Hogs the last few weeks. I plan to connect with her and more important contacts to help locate the best basketball influencers in the Dallas area. Ideally we would love to have 2-4 players so that we can run a youth basketball event. Goal is to find someone who can create a fun and exciting environment which will make them come back. Someone who can dunk for the kids would probably be a favorite, and possibly influencers who add not play but love the sport and love giving back to the youth.
  4. During the game Instagram and Twitter pages will be accessed and content will be produced. This will get those who are not live at the event tune in and excited about the amazing event. Content will be quickly created so we do not lose the focus and attention of our participants and viewers. From experience we have noticed that most people are not going to watch full games or go back to video footage to look for highlights. (Chase, the videographer will capture everything horizontally and I will capture everything vertically).
    1. The IG Story will get flooded with content from the game and tagging those involved.
    2. The IG posts will be the best high lights (Dunk, crazy shot, good play)
    3. Twitter, we will update the same as the IG Posts
    4. I will interview players, coaches, and fans at the game.
    5. With all the content we capture, we will be able to have them for all platforms, edited, and posted the same day and following. Also, content to have throughout the week leading into the next week's games.

Krause House ROI

The importance of building a fanbase with Ball Hogs represents what Krause House has to offer long term. One of the most important things Krause House and Ball Hogs can do is get involved in the community. Creating a fan base though the youth who grow up seeing Krause House on all apparel, social media, banners, and PR is crucial.

Investing in the Community:

  • Documenting the impact of starting from no fan base to creating a fan base
  • Proving success in building a professional team
    • Big 3 has struggled with a fan base and that is because they have not got out into the community. They have been around 5 years!
    • In a short period of time we can show growth in a fanbase, hype around the team and league.
  • Future Krause House Events will benefit on all the content and hype built around the Ball Hogs Team.

From 2017-2020 I created San Diego Kings basketball team. The focus was heavy on getting into community outreach and marketing. Based on that experience I believe that Ball Hogs can get into the community and make an impact, skyrocket the fan base, and capture amazing content for social media. The goal is to have the fanbase fall in love with the team, emotionally get them connected to the games and social media so that they are always engaged. Basketball is my passion and every event I am part of it’s a guaranteed success. I look forward to having many successful events together.

BIO-

Abraham Muheize, born and raised in San Diego. Entrepreneur, Public Speaker, Marketer, and Community Activist. Co-Owner and founder of the San Diego Kings, a professional Basketball team in the American Basketball Association.. President and founder of Alumni United, a non-profit organization touring into schools with athletes and entrepreneurs engaging with the students in the community.

Abraham snuck into Attorney King's Law Office and pitched him the Idea of partnering on a basketball team. The concept was to build the COMMUNITY FIRST. “Win in the community before we win in the gym.” - Abraham Muheize

In the first year Abraham took the team to over 25 different schools and communities and started an immediate impact in the community. San Diego Kings was voted franchise of the year, Abraham was voted GM of the year, and the team became Far West Division Champions. Finishing the season in 3rd place out of 150 teams.
