Intentions
- Make governance state explicit, such that Jerry’s have increased transparency, comprehensibility, and ability to suggest changes.
- Define organizational and team specific norms to increase accountability.
- Allow Jerry’s to tweak governance more easily and granularly.
- Allow voters to see changes / proposals in context.
Proposal
- Create an ENS field on krausehouse.eth called “governance” which points to a URI representing the current governance state of the DAO.
- Recognize this field as the official source of truth for Krause House Governance state procedures, and norms.
- Seed that field with the following link as the first recognized state of DAO governance under this model: https://github.com/Krause-House/org/tree/fce91f81f34f16b8f462f91dad56064e60a56ee5
How will the state of the DAO get updated?
Moving forwards, Snapshot proposals will propose a link to an updated org chart if they propose changes. It it passes, the Multisig will update the ENS field to that URI.
Note: That URI must point to a resource that cannot be changed after the fact (ex: github commit, IPFS) or it should be rejected by the Multisig.
Reversibility
The tokenholders have the explicit power to revert the governance structure to the prior model or to an improved iteration.
Footnotes
- Please check out the proposed governance state here.
- Given that all tokens are technically eligible for voting, there is no explicit permission or norm in this governance proposal that restricts a token’s voting rights based on it’s acquisition source (earned, purchased, or airdropped). In simpler terms, all tokens are eligible for voting.
- For this proposal, votes will be aggregated for the "Decline" options.
