FUNDING: Up to 3,000 $Krause / month for 2 months

WALLET: Brandan will keep track of work in Notion on an ongoing basis that will drive the payment amounts. Brandan will enter appropriate payment amounts and wallet addresses into Utopia for distribution monthly.

GOAL OF PROJECT:

Develop the thought leadership and experimentation within Krause House to become the worldwide thought leader in the decentralized sports operations sector. We look at this from two perspectives - 1) What does it mean to run a decentralized sports organization if we’re a majority owner? 2) What is the KH value prop to existing teams to bring KH onto the cap table as a minority owner?

WHY THIS MATTERS:

Krause House is a globally distributed DAO and has a head start against others in the market to be the thought leader in the decentralized sports operations space. To make sure this continues, Krause House will need to invest in the work to build out the ideas, testing infrastructure, and ongoing projects around what it would actually mean to run a decentralized sports team. This work is already underway.

HOW THIS WILL BE DONE:

• The DSO team has already learned a lot.
• The DSO team will operate best when it is like an internal incubation function.
• The DSO team will have five core responsibilities:
  1. Build out the “Economic Membership” framework, beginning to measure revenue / fan engagement.
  2. Fund explorations into new areas of a team to determine how it would be decentralized.
  3. Help spin out successful explorations into their own proposals / teams.
  4. “Build in public” to continue to re-enforce Krause House as a thought leader in this space.
  5. Develop the industry term for decentralized sports operations (similar to how DeFi is used).

WHAT THE TEAM HAS ALREADY ACCOMPLISHED (in the last two months):

• Created structure of DSO team. Built pipeline of great talent within Krause House.

• Validated NBA teams are keen on exploring the concept of revenue / fan and how they can increase this for their team.

FUNDING DETAILS:

• We are requesting up to 3,000 $Krause / month
• This will fund the DSO work for contributors not including the contributor streams for Brandan, Samir, and Tag. This funding is for contributors who join DSO and complete thought starters, briefs, and other bounties.
• Funding model = 150 $Krause for initial though starter work. 450 $Krause for initial brief.
