KIP #4: Advancing KuSwap with v3 - A Comprehensive Proposal (Part 1)

Voting ended over 2 years agoSucceeded

Executive Summary

We present a comprehensive three-part proposal aimed at migrating KuSwap's Decentralized Exchange (DEX) to v3. These upgrades will firmly position KuSwap at the cutting edge of DeFi technology, driving the next wave of innovation and growth.

This proposal is split into:

1. Protocol Improvements

2. Tokenomics Enhancements

3. Migration Strategy

Please note: No modifications will be enacted until all three sections of this proposal have been meticulously deliberated upon and have successfully navigated the voting process.

PART 1: Protocol Improvements

Overview

The protocol upgrades proposed here have been carefully examined and discussed extensively on our official KuSwap Medium blog here and within our engaged KuSwap Community Channels.

Protocol Improvements Proposed

  1. Deployment of a new utility token (KUS) on the KCC blockchain.
  2. Deployment of a new governance token (veKUS) on the KCC blockchain.
  3. Implementation of an on-chain gauge voting mechanism.
  4. Integration of bribes on the KuSwap Platform.
  5. Incorporation of KUS Rebase functionality.
  6. Introduction of Real Yield mechanics.

Expected Outcomes

By introducing additional utilities and mitigating dilution through rebasing, KUS holders and farmers will be incentivized to lock their tokens into veKUS. The Real Yield feature will enable veKUS holders to generate passive income and exercise influence over emission decisions. This will create a positive feedback loop wherein the system further encourages users to relock their KUS earnings.
