Abolish the Elite Council president and distribute its task among existing parts of the DAO.
The KIP proposes to abolish the role of the president within the Elite Council. Tasks under the role of the president can be easily picked up by existing Kwenta subDAOs, such as the Management Contributors, adminDAO, and Elite Council, making its role obsolete.
Upon the inception of the president role, the primary objective was to provide a decisive voice in instances of deadlocks during voting sessions within the Elite Council. However, it is essential for the DAO to strive for a more consensual decision-making process in the event of a divided Elite Council. The existing 3/5 quorum should remain adequate for Elite Council decision-making.
Moreover, the president's secondary responsibility currently involves the development and implementation of KwentaDAO's strategic framework and roadmap. Nevertheless, it is crucial to recognize that the president should not assume this responsibility singlehandedly. Various part of the DAO, such as Core Contributors, Management Contributors, adminDAO, treasuryDAO, the Elite Council itself and most importantly the Kwenta community, play a significant role in determining the organization's roadmap. Consequently, it is in the best interest of the DAO to collaborate on the development of a comprehensive strategy and roadmap, which will ultimately require the approval of the Elite Council.
