[LIP #18] 2024-Q4-A03 Operating validator nodes on the Constellation Testnet
Please carefully read the proposal thread on the governance forum before you vote: https://commonwealth.im/lattice-gateway/discussion/25436-lip-18-2024q4a03-operating-validator-nodes-on-the-constellation-testnet
Constellation Network is granting the Lattice DAO three Testnet validator nodes due to our platform being the Crypto and DeFi hub of the Constellation ecosystem and our natural interest to support the network in all possible forms. Operating Testnet nodes will provide needed hardware resources to run the latest features in development, check if they are working as expected and is essential to the growth of the Constellation ecosystem including Lattice Gateway.
Due to the nature of the Testnet network, instabilities and updates are much more frequent compared to the IntegrationNet or Mainnet and therefore a high node operator activity is required in order to not lose out on rewards. Based on above requirements the proposal suggests to have the three Testnet validator nodes be operated by Netmet, the senior node operator of Team 1 from LIP #11.1.
All validator rewards will be distributed in $DAG and in the following order together with the node rewards from LIP #11.1:
- Validator node expenses (Balance after removal of this goes to rewards as stated below)
- Twenty percent (20%) of the rewards goes to the node Operator
- Eighty percent (80%) of the rewards go to the Lattice DAO treasury and veLTX holders
- Seventy percent (70%) to the Lattice DAO treasury and thirty percent (30%) to veLTX holders
