Devin from GYSR here! On behalf of the GYSR team, I wanted to submit our proposal for the $OPIncubator Round 3 token grant with the L2DAO community. As the L2 ecosystem is growing, we believe it's extremely valuable to have robust, open source platforms and no-code solutions for fair token distribution, liquidity incentives, and governance rewards. GYSR provides exactly that tooling layer. Our solution helps project teams save time and stay focused on building their own core tech. This LTIP proposes to the Layer2DAO community a vote conducted on Snapshot to signal support for holders of the L2StateOfMind NFT (the NFT collection evolved from the original plans around the OPIncupator) - to support and partner with GYSR. 

The vote will be conducted via Snapshot. GYSR has been identified as a high-impact project for the L2 ecosystem that has demonstrated leadership in the L2 space. The criteria to be eligible to vote is you must hold an L2StateOfMind NFT as of the Snapshot proposal to vote, and every address that votes will receive a proportional share of the 10,000 $OP tokens that are being used to incentivize governance participation by voting on this LTIP. The NFT that is required to be eligible to vote can be found on-chain on Optimistic Etherscan and can be Minted at L2StateOfMind and the NFT Collection can be viewed on OpenSea and Quix

Number of OP tokens awarded to GYSR if vote passes the OPIncubator:

27,500 OP

Co-incentives 

GYSR will contribute 10K GYSR towards incubator co-incentives or token swap. Also note that projects (e.g. L2DAO) will earn GYSR tokens from users spending for staking multipliers

More broadly we hope to provide ongoing support to the L2DAO incubator program as a launchpad and tooling layer for incentives.

Proposal for token distribution


GYSR's goal here is to provide a powerful open platform for on-chain incentives for the L2 ecosystem. This means building flexible and robust reward mechanisms that can address a wide variety of use cases. Further, we want to encourage projects to use GYSR in order to accelerate development speed, improve safety and security, and stay focused on their core tech.

We'd like to use the grant allocation in two ways:

1. Subsidize development of a new multi-token rewards module
2. Provide bonus incentives on top of GYSR pools deployed on Optimism

How will the OP tokens be distributed?


1. 15,500 OP (56%) towards new ERC20 multi-token rewards module development and audit
2. 12,000 OP (46%) to set up extra incentives for 3rd party pools deployed on GYSR Optimism (3,000 OP per project that funds over 20K USD in rewards locked)

Over what period of time will the tokens be distributed?

We expect to use this grant funding within 3 months.

How will this distribution support the L2DAO mission?


The new multi-token rewards module will provide a flexible and powerful incentives tool for L2DAO incubator projects. This will enable faster development and safe trustless token distribution. We will take into account needs and feedback from the L2DAO team for final mechanism design.

By offering additional incentives on GYSR Optimism, we expect to promote L2 growth and adoption. Since GYSR acts as an add-on for many projects, this means that people coming to GYSR are not only leveraging the GYSR platform - they're interacting with DEXs, liquidity protocols, and more. That means users having breadth of usage on Optimism, not just on a single dapp.
