Proposal for an event in Uyo, Nigeria

This is a proposal to allocate 90K Eco from the Culture & Vibes budget to conduct an Eco and Beam event in Uyo, Nigeria.

Organizer: Alexander Etok https://twitter.com/lexxaugust/status/1726166783525007795, he is from Nigeria, and the event will be held for the Nigerian local community. He proposes to organize an event for 100 people in early February.

First, the main idea is to onboard everyone who comes - to Beam Wallet and have them make 1-2 transactions right on the fly, from their phones. The process might look like this: everyone who comes in will be able to claim 200 Eco on Beam, after which they can pay for water or snacks for 40 Eco per unit for example. From the point of view of the law, Alexander says that in their country such a thing is normal. So we onboard up to 100 real people in Beam and do some transaction volume this way.

Secondly, during this event, there will be a live call with either Andy or Dave or someone else from the team/association who agrees, during the event - either after people experience Beam or before.

The host will be hired for the event to maintain the atmosphere and a photographer will take lots of photos + short video clips of how people use Beam.

Alexander will tell people basic things about Eco and Beam - we will coordinate the text with him.

The budget: Venue Reservation (1) - 400 Projector (1) - 50 Food / Refreshment (Small Chops) (100+) - 150 Drinks (soda and water) (100+) - 100 Event Compere (1) - 60 Publicity - will be handled by Alexander Photographer/ Videographer (1) - 150 Participants Beam Drop 200 Eco each = 20K Eco + 2K fee to send it to 100 wallets (20 each) = 22K Eco. If everyone buys some water and food with it - probably ~4-6K will return. So around 16-18K Eco (which is about 270 USD today's prices) (may return more) Emergency Fund - 40 Alexander's payment - 100

Total: ~90K Eco ( or 1390 USD )

We will try to get the message to Alexander that we need to get as many people as possible to interact with Beam - buy water and snacks, and then probably about 4-12K Eco will return. Emergency Fund - 40 may return to. ihar will coordinate the process.

According to Alexander's twitter - he participated and organized several such events. Alexander has also been participating in the Be Influential program for a month as an invited Influencer. So I think he can be trusted with that amount of money and organization.

More on value proposition: The Nigerian crypto community is very vast. Organizing events there is I think a priority. Many people in Nigeria are interested in crypto. The crypto ban was lifted there recently (banks ban on transactions if I am correct). Many 'Be Influential' participants are from Nigeria = engagement, we will form a local community this way.
