Following feedback on the prior July SQUID Drop, we are proposing to disburse the remaining 500K SQUID from July subject to a full DAO vote via the terms outlined in Project CUTTLE.
Earlier this month we conducted two votes. A vote for 500K covering items including News, Development, Antispam, DAO, Auction was authorized and disbursed. These items are again submitted for inclusion here, to allow voters to allocate additional weight to these categories.
An additional 500K was not approved. Following a discussion period, the items have been shaken up and are resubmitted here on tab 3a (note all weights in row 1 are only provided as an example, not a recommendation – the weights are publicly editable so voters may play with scenarios to see outcomes):
The final list of items being considered is as follows:
New items
- Newsletter: 10 articles about 1000+ words
- Sam Show: Leviathan News interviews with key members from DeFi, stablecoins and other crypto projects
- DAdvisoor Show: Another Day on Leviathan
- Llama Party: A Friday morning livestream focused on Curve and the broader DeFi ecosystem
- Strategy: A great deal of thought and effort went into structuring Leviathan’s operations under a systematic growth loop and collecting metrics for this process
Repeat items (final weights from the initial 500K disbursement are recorded in parentheses – any vote for these items would represent a surplus)
- News (51.6%): Covers all points earned for posting, editing and approving headlines via the Telegram bot or the website
- Dev (35.0%): Covers all ongoing development affecting the Telegram bot, the website, the Auction bot and related QA or bug reports
- Auction (6.8%): Early users of our auctions have been instrumental in reporting feedback and bug reports, and we offer these users a token of gratitude.
- DAO (4.6%): Coordinating Leviathan efforts via our new SQUID DAO has been a breakthrough in decentralization, thanks to our early DAO voters for inaugurating the and/or reporting issues in voting.
- Antispam (2.0%): Covers moderation activity within the Squid Cave public Telegram channel

Note that a separate and concurrent vote to make these results binding is being held concurrently. If that resolves to the negative, these votes would be merely indicative.
