Stakin, a Node Operator ("NO") participating in the Lido Curated and Simple DVT Modules, was recently acquired by The Tie, an institutional services provider for digital assets. According to information disclosed by Stakin on the forum and confirmed by The Tie, validator operations will continue to be run by the existing Stakin team.
Stakin has confirmed that no changes are planned to infrastructure, validator operations, geographic deployment, custody, or key management as a result of the acquisition, and no validator migration is expected. The Stakin brand will continue to be used for validator operations under the name "Stakin by The Tie". In line with this rebranding, Stakin has requested that its name in the on-chain Curated NO Registry be updated to reflect "Stakin by The Tie", and that its reward address in the Curated NO Registry be updated accordingly.
The Lido Node Operator Sub-Governance Group (LNOSG) has reviewed the provided information regarding the transition and has not identified any concerns warranting ceasing the operator’s participation in Lido on the Ethereum Curated and DVT sets. The conclusion was published on the forum and offers further guidance to voters in their consideration.
Allow Stakin by The Tie to continue Node Operations in Lido on Ethereum and approve updating the Curated NO Registry on-chain to change the NO’s name to "Stakin by The Tie" and update its reward address as requested.
A vote "For" indicates agreement with this proposal. If "For" wins, Stakin will continue Node Operations in Lido on Ethereum, and its name and reward address will be updated in the on-chain Curated NO Registry in one of the upcoming on-chain votes.
A vote "Against" indicates disagreement with this proposal. As the range of potential concerns or remediation options may vary, a vote "Against" entails further discussion to determine what specific actions, if any, should be considered and potentially brought to a subsequent vote.
