The Lido Node Operator Sub-Governance Group (LNOSG) conducted a review after the acquisition of Numic by Pier Two, taking into account improved practices in light of the previous security incident. The LNOSG sees no reason to suggest that Pier Two not continue as a Node Operator (NO) in the Curated Module and SDVT. The LNOSG also suggests that Pier Two follow the usual onboarding process: testnet first, then, upon successful completion on the testnet trial-run, a slow ramp-up on mainnet. This proposal outlines the LNOSG's thoughts and asks voters to consider the matter.
The LNOSG has reviewed the relevant data and information provided by Pier Two. The review involves the acquisition of Numic and the previous security incident disclosed by Numic. The purpose of the evaluation was to understand to what extent possible material changes in node operations would result as a consequence of the acquisition. Currently, Pier Two has no depositable keys. The LNOSG’s thoughts and observations serve as a basis for the content of the vote.
The LNOSG spent some additional time and asked for more information as the proposed way forward by Pier Two involved using an infrastructure setup different from Numic’s previous setup.
Allow Pier Two to continue Node Operations following the suggested steps for testnet and mainnet ramp-up.
A "For" indicates agreement with this proposal. If "For" wins, then Pier Two starts a trial run on testnet and then (upon successful completion) commences a slow ramp-up on mainnet.
A vote "Against" indicates disagreement with this proposal. As the range of options in dispute is extensive, a vote "Against" entails a discussion to identify which options should be considered and brought to a following vote.
