Mike Community Management TOADAO Proposal

Hello! I’m Mike, your trusty LTOADs Community Manager. This is my proposal by which I’m aiming to (hopefully) earn a salary for the work I do for the LTOADs. I’ve given this some distance from the MDMA proposal chiefly to avoid layering one team salary proposal on top of the other.

My duties thus far have been as follows:

1. Manage LTOADs Discord: Pretty self-explanatory. I manage, run, and update the server as maximally befits the community, per input from the community and the LTOADs team. I’ve got a lot of experience with Discord, and I built the structure of the current server.
2. Manage TOADAO: Falls partly into the realm of Discord management, partly outside of it. I wrote and manage TOADAO procedure and manage votes, relevant announcements, and so on.
3. Answer community concerns: I aim to be the go-to for any community member to voice concerns, feedback, or anything else about the project and to see those heard and (if applicable) executed upon.
4. General community management: Various community-related tasks. I’m looking to expand the scope of these into more extensive community growth and engagement strategies.
5. Assist in managing and running community Twitter Spaces alongside MDMA.
6. Assist in project organization: Self-explanatory; I assist in keeping things organized on the high-level end.
7. Assist in marketing efforts: I aim to help out MDMA in their marketing efforts where applicable.

Some goals for the near future:

• More effectively mobilize Discord population around marketing campaigns and voting
• Facilitate greater community involvement in project direction
• Foster more extensive and regular community discussions

My ask: $1,000/mo (this sum includes the minor cost of necessary premium subscriptions to Discord bots for which I pay) until the end of September, to be reevaluated by discussion in the community two months after the conclusion of the vote (which would be September 21st if the measure passes).

This salary would be retroactive back to June 1st. Like MDMA, my salary from the beginning of June onward will have come entirely from the TOADAO treasury or not at all.
