FlannelHandler Proposal: Use treasury funds to partially fund LTOAD Smartcon event Barcelona

Introduction

As most of you know, MDMA and some DAO members have been in the process of organizing a pre-Smartcon LTOAD event, on the 30th of September, at a gorgeous yet affordable venue. This initiative has been positively received by many DAO members, Chainlink community advocates and build project contributors, and is set to have support from Chainlink Labs via way of being listed on the Smartcon Side-events page. We view this as a great opportunity to grow the LTOAD brand and network.

Timing of the proposal

Despite several BUILD partners expressing the intent to sponsor the event, most have now opted out to persue their own events, many on Smartcon itself. Dolomite still needs to give a definitive answer on contributing $2k, which is expected soon. As the deadline for the venue is coming up, author felt its needed to present the vote on the remaining funds to the DAO now, as discussion and vote need time.

Exact financials

At time of writing, the treasury holds $94.261.34, composed of:

13.178 LINK ($81,225.19) 3047.45 USDC 6.13 ETH ($9.962,69)

MDMA and Mike were set to receive the 3047.45 $USDC as a final payment for September, but have proposed to forego it and sponsor the event as they agree that it will be a great impulse for the project.

$10,150.45 - $2000 from Dolomite - $3047 from the team = $5103,45. Please take into account that there will be an additional % added for withdrawl costs when selling into euros.

The total amount to be sold in $ETH from the treasury will be $5500. Any left over funds will be returned to the treasury. There are still two potential sponsors, any additional sponsorship reveived will go to the DAO.
