Proposed sponsorship amount: $1,000
BACKGROUND
Clinamenic has known these three points of contact (flowscience#7502 for DAO Denver, hebbianloop#5169 for DeSci.Denver, and omniharmonic#7096 for Federated Futures) for several months and have each of them in different capacities before, from organizing twitter spaces, to giving grants, to planning panels.
Lobby3 also has existing relationships with DeSciWorld and OpSci, two prominent entities at the intersection of DeSci and DAOs, and for a while we have discussed the prospects of how Lobby3 can advocacy on behalf of socially impactful DeSci applications.
Lobby3 is also among the founding milieu of Decentralized Civics, or DeCiv, a nascent web3 sector which Federated Futures hopes to galvanize into a stronger movement by bringing together various builders at the intersection of web3 and civics.
MISSION & VALUES ALIGNMENT
All three conferences are not only mission-aligned, each in their own particular way as detailed above, but would also provide valuable networking opportunities. While such networking benefits could be largely reaped without the need for sponsorships, becoming a sponsor would not only help support the critical industry-building efforts of those organizing these conferences, but it would also put Lobby3 more prominently on the radars of attendees.
SCOPE OF WORK
Clinamenic will facilitate the payments and coordinate with the three points of contact regarding any responsibilities or rewards associated with becoming a sponsor. This will likely include at least on panel discussion (there are two currently being planned).
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS
A total of $4,111 will be disbursed to Clinamenic to then relay to the designated conference sponsorship wallets. Because this matter is time sensitive and deadlines may preclude this proposal from reaching its multi-week conclusion in time, Clinamenic may have to advance some of these payments. In this scenario, and if this proposal passes, Clinamenic will simply be reimbursed from the community treasury. If Clinamenic advances the payments, and this proposal does not pass, Clinamenic will be reimbursed from the executive fund.
BRAND USAGE
Lobby3’s brand will be displayed in various capacities at all three conferences, and Clinamenic will handle any bespoke graphic design and communication thereof.
SUCCESS METRICS OR KPIS
Ultimately, the central success metric for this proposal is whether or not Lobby3 walks away from Denver with valuable new connections and/or piqued popular interest. Because we are still building somewhat in stealth mode, we will likely focus on establishing key connections, and wait until we are more built-out before really attempting to harness popular attention.
NEXT STEPS
Disburse the funds to Clinamenic’s wallet, wherefrom he will relay the three payments to their respective recipients.
By voting in favor of this proposal at the draft stage, you are also accepting that the active proposal will make use of the quadratic voting method, in addition to a sybil-resistant whitelist of all tokenholders at the moment this draft proposal is posted. This measure is being taken in the interest of protecting the decentralized integrity of the Lobby3 Legacy DAO, in light of recent plutocratic circumstances.
