SUMMARY

This proposal is for the retroactive compensation of Clinamenic, for work done during the months of June, July, August and September of 2022.

BACKGROUND

Learning from the experience of the prior request for retroactive compensation, a more detailed contribution report has been kept this time, and should provide proper context for this requested disbursement. The amount being requested is 3 ETH, which currently amounts to $4,515 in fair market value.

Here is a log kept of the contributions made by Clinamenic in the interest of Lobby3, since the previous retroactive compensation.

June 2022

-(prior work recognized by previous retroactive compensation proposal) -Started drafting Lobby3 bylaws (which will most likely not end up in eventual incorporation documentation)

July 2022

-Graphic design work (insignia, banners, social media avatars) -Participated JournoDAO Twitter space -Completed and submitted EthBarcelona Grant -Led monthly DAO coalition meeting -Attended Governor DAO’s “DAO speed dating” Twitter space -Participated in ThreeOh DAOs Twitter space on web3 regulation -Completed the stablecoin regulation policy position -Spoke at Sapiens Twitter space on culture -Began managing the development of the zkID (developed by Holo) -Organized and attended Sapien’s Twitter space on web3 civic engagement -Represented Lobby3 in a Twitter space interview hosted by Metopia about tokenized community -Continued helping the formation of the DAO coalition, with Lobby3 as one of the de facto champion members (brought on most of the member DAOs) -Made the first draft of the Lobby3 HQ for Spatial.io (speculative, may not end up being used at all)

August 2022

-Cohosted a 5 hour Twitter space with Forward Party and January Walker -Organized and cohosted a DAO round table with Sapien, about Tornado Cash -Participated in a Twitter space panel discussion about Sapien’s metaverse newspaper and the web3 media space -Participated in a Cryptosapiens Twitter space about DeSci -Led monthly DAO coalition meeting -Created and submitted a Gitcoin grant for the DAO Coalition, with Lobby3 in a leading position. -Hosted a Twitter space with DeSciWorld about science and policy -Was interviewed by Benjamin Life for his new civic tech podcast, about Lobby3’s mission and what we plan on doing with the zkID -Began talks with the leadership at DeSciWorld for a partnered effort at building a DeSci Coalition.

September 2022

-Created the design and set up the unlock protocol lock+key for the Lobby3 Leadership Summit NFT -Worked with Chicken, Renee and Aphilos to update the Lobby3 Gitcoin grant page to reflect recent developments -Submitted Partnership Agreement to become an official Impact Partner of DoinGud’s upcoming DAO. -Began an accounting spreadsheet to keep tabs on Community Treasury funds and Gitcoin proceed funds -Began helping coordinate a Taptive.xyz writing cohort program for the Lobby3 Community (presently at a stage of draft proposal creation)

MISSION & VALUES ALIGNMENT

Lobby3 does not have any salaried positions, and the only payment toward contributors so far has been the prior disbursement of 3 ETH split between Saulthorin, n0vax, and Clinamenic. So far, the bulk of these efforts have been vocational and unpaid, but compensation is nonetheless greatly appreciated when and where possible.

SCOPE OF WORK

The scope of this work is to reward consistent efforts which aid Lobby3 in various ways, in lieu of a salaried payment framework.

FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS

3 ETH ($4,515 in current fair market value) will be disbursed from the Community Fund to Clinamenic’s Lobby3 wallet, in recognition of the previous three months.

The current balance of the Community Fund is 118.091023 ETH, with the remaining funds in that wallet being proceeds from the Gitcoin Grant.

The relevant metric here is whether or not the stated list of contributions is deserving of the requested disbursement. This proposal is retroactive in nature, and does not involve any forward-looking aspects.

NEXT STEPS

Once the draft proposal receives 15 likes, or once three days have passed (whichever happens first), this proposal will advance to an active snapshot proposal. If successful there, a disbursement of 3 ETH will be made to Clinamenic’s Lobby3 Wallet, and Clinamenic will continue to work speculatively, and may request similar compensation in the future.
