Loot Character earlier today announced "Associative NFTs" for their website, which basically lets users mint a character and by default, that character is associated with that bag. Meaning if the current owner were to ever transfer (say in a sale or even moving to a hardware wallet for example) they wouldn't even have to worry about it as it would move automatically basically.
I think this also has the benefit of allowing users flexibility - people wouldn't have to worry about minting and "ruining" the value of a loot bag because if they were to ever sell it, the derivatives would go to the new owner as well.
Of course this IS NOT permanently binding. I'm sure there are ways to unwrap into an individual ERC (not sure what code this would be, not technical) but yeah.
As the Loot metaverse continues to grow, it's going to be harder and harder to find out which derivatives bag x has minted, and websites that check bags for what has been minted will always be a step behind the pace of innovation.
I see literally no downside but if there is I'd love to hear it to perhaps address in a future proposal.
