Self-introduction and profession

Hi, you can call me tiao. I am currently a university student in Shanghai, came from Henan.

To be honest, I am not a fan structured degree programs and classes, but I am grateful to the environment campus provides. It gives me space to explore and build meaningful things that both interests me and meaningful, like Web3, without requiring a rich family.

My major is anthropology and I am really into it. Quoted from a late anthropologist, David Graeber, “I am interested in anthropology because I am interested in human possibilities”. Although like any other subject, it becomes quite boring in classroom.

Your Web3 Experiences

This is part of why I am interested in Web3 at first—the concept of “dencentralized automous organization” is intriguing. After learning about it earlier this year, I decided to dive deeper. I started at Future Force DAO, tried to get myself familiar with area and figure out where I could contribute. I get some positive feedback from friends I knew at FFD, mainly about writing (or content creation).

What would you like to gain from the LXDAO community

Then accidently I met LXDAO. It attracted me because of the humor in the name, and I wanted to knew more about Web3 in a technical way. And equally important, the incentive were also motivating, and I do want to be economically better so that it will be easier to live in the campus.

Then I tried to do something I can, and I found that it’s a really open place to let people try different things. I have learned a lot and enjoyed being here to build (or try to build).

LXDAO, for me it’s the people in LXDAO, provides me with many things, the knowledge and expertise, the opportunities to learn and create new things, the vibe of self-ownership, equality, pragmatism, Liangxin, fairness. Those are what I gained and is gaining from people here.

What would you like to bring to the LXDAO community

Another thing is that I naturally align with LXDAO’s values (not because it sounds great but because it’s the way I want to choose). I can’t find a lot place in real world like this. Of course LXDAO is not what it says, but it is motivating people to build and create the reality we want to live in. I think I am one of the people who can enhance and develop this part of LXDAO.

For now, I am working in EIPs Fun project, mainly writing and publishing newsletters. I may also bring help with research about the more “cultural” or “governance” aspect of Web3, like what Uncommons is trying to do. In short, it’s still mainly about writing for now. I also look forward to being able to contribute as a coder in the near future (is working on it), and am glad to try different things to enhance the value that LXDAO community, Ethereum community, myself, and some other people in the world feel comfortable and fair.
