TL;DR
| --- | --- | --- |
| Dev Working Group | 2300 U/Monthly |
| Operation Working Group | 2600 U/Monthly |

TL;DR
This proposal consolidates working groups, presenting their budgets and role details. It also proposes reforms based on LXDAO's past operations, focusing on LXBuildPath to improve fund efficiency, reduce governance overhead, enhance community engagement, promote open-source culture, and achieve self-driven operations.
Why Reform?
During the past quarter, we identified several issues:
- Inefficient fund utilization: Milestone completion rates are low.
- Governance overhead: Excessive time spent on quarterly transition discussions.
- Excessive meetings: Less focus on execution and more on meetings.
- Low community engagement: Most projects fail to effectively engage and incentivize community participation.
- Lack of open-source culture: As an R&D DAO, we need more open-source frameworks.
To address these issues, we propose the following improvements to working groups and community operations:
1. Simplify Governance and Reduce Overhead
- Consolidate working group budgets: Working groups propose budgets based on their scope and freely negotiate allocations.
- Streamline meetings: Merge working group meetings to reduce redundancy.
- Resource allocation for projects: Focus on supporting specific Pods/project groups.
- LXP deflation: Discontinue LXPU, issue only U or tokens, and reduce LXP to 10% for automatic proportional airdrops.
- Rapid Pod formation:
- Pod: Lightweight, self-driven groups for early-stage projects and research, funded by working groups or the community via DAICO.fun, with milestone-based funding and recovery.
- Working Group: Formal groups proposed by the community.
- Project: Officially approved projects following a formal process.
2. Low-Cost, Self-Driven Operations
- Working groups as enablers, not supervisors: Focus on assisting teams to succeed rather than micromanaging.
- Retro funding and milestone-based payouts: Unlock funds based on actual output to avoid resource waste.
- Focus on contribution, not monetary rewards: Participants are incentivized based on results.
3. Reduce Routine Tasks
- Minimize meetings: Retain only the Saturday community meeting and one merged working group meeting.
LXDAO Mainline Development
We will focus on building the mainline product around LXBuildPath, a narrative and activity series aimed at attracting conscientious developers to participate in ongoing development.
What is LXBuildPath?
LXBuildPath is a narrative initiative centered on LXDAO's mainline products, designed to onboard a large number of conscientious developers and sustain their participation in development.
Budget Planning
This proposal requests funding in stablecoins (e.g., USDT), with LXP allocated as a 10% retrospective incentive at the end of the quarter.
- Total budget: 9200U/month.
- LXP retrospective incentive: LXP:USDT = 1:10.
The proposal includes 5 working groups, as follows:
| Working Group | Budget | Duties |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Dev Working Group | 2300 U/Monthly | Organize high-level R&D discussions, coordinate key resources, and advance project management processes. |
| Operation Working Group | 2600 U/Monthly | Handle daily community operations, event planning, project follow-ups, and optimize operational processes. |
| Governance Working Group | 800 U/Monthly | Design governance structures, manage fund flows, automate SOPs, organize quarterly meetings, and streamline accounting processes. |
| BD Working Group | 2500 U/Monthly | Manage external communications, negotiations, partnership development, and maintain a reusable resource network within the DAO. |
| Research Working Group | 1000 U/Monthly | Distribute research tasks, streamline processes, and build a research network within the DAO. |
