Live AIPs that went up for vote this week in the ApeCoin DAO have been duplicated on the Made By Apes Snapshot. Each proposal requires a 10% quorum of valid wallets in order for it to pass. If quorum is reached on a proposal, then all $APE delegated to madebyapesvote.eth will be cast in favor of the majority vote. Votes are limited to once per wallet per proposal. PROPOSAL DESCRIPTION

The purpose of this proposal is to help guide more people into the ApeCoin community. The ‘Powered by ApeCoin’ logo is great for branding, but lacks a call to action and does not give a reason for people to join the DAO by purchasing their membership, i.e., their first $APE.

This proposal mandates the inclusion of a prominently visible ‘Build with $APE’ (or similar) website menu item and corresponding webpage for every project funded through the ApeCoin DAO, whether through an AIP or the Banana Bill.

The specific naming of the website menu item can be at the discretion of the approved AIP author, but it must be prominently visible on the project’s main page without requiring a hover-over.

The contents of the Build with $APE page shall also be at the discretion of the approved AIP author, but it must include:

1. A brief explanation of what the ApeCoin DAO is, with a backlink to ApeCoin.com.
2. A statement that the ApeCoin DAO funded the author’s project.
3. A simple breakdown of the benefits of owning $APE, such as community inclusion, access to Discourse and Discord, voting on proposals, and proposing new proposals.
4. Resources on how to learn more, including links to the ApeCoin official Twitter account, Discourse, and Discord.

This AIP is not retroactive. Previously approved AIPs or other funding distributed are not required to include the requirements of this AIP. However, it would be a courteous gesture for all previously approved authors to include a version of this AIP within their existing projects funded by the ApeCoin DAO.

Note: This proposal only applies to projects with a website. Projects that receive funding from the DAO or the Banana Bill and do not have a website are exempt from this proposal.

BENEFIT TO APECOIN ECOSYSTEM

1. Onboarding new members into the ApeCoin community.
2. Encouraging more people to purchase their membership via their first $APE.
3. Actively promoting the ApeCoin ecosystem.
4. Ensuring that funded AIPs recognize the ApeCoin DAO’s contribution and support.
5. Reducing friction for potential new members to get involved.
6. Enhancing the network effect as the community grows.

OVERALL COST

Total amount requested from the ApeCoin Ecosystem Fund = $2,000.

This requested amount is the estimated cost of legal expenses needed to implement the changes brought by the successful implementation of this proposal.

The AIP implementation is administered by the Ape Foundation. Implementation may be adjusted to optimize for security, usability, protect APE holders, and align with the intent of the AIP. Any material deviations from the approved AIP will be disclosed to the APE holder community.
