MIP #64 - Adjusting Reward Distribution for mCakeSV and vlCKP

Abstract

This proposal seeks to gather feedback from vlMGP holders on whether Magpie should support Cakepie’s CIP #12. The proposal aims to refine the reward distribution structure for mCakeSV and vlCKP by ensuring that rewards are allocated only to assets in an actively locked state. Assets in the cooldown period will no longer accrue rewards after the proposal is approved and executed. The feedback from vlMGP holders will guide Magpie’s stance, ensuring alignment with the community's interests.

Motivation

As a governance-focused platform, Magpie is committed to consulting vlMGP holders on decisions impacting its SubDAOs. Supporting these changes aligns with Magpie’s commitment to fairness, efficiency, and incentivizing long-term engagement. By excluding cooldown state assets from reward eligibility, the proposed changes will: Increase the reward share for actively locked participants.

• Support Cakepie’s and Magpie’s shared objective of fostering sustained engagement and fairness in reward distribution.
