MIP #85 - Support Penpie’s Proposal to Consolidate vlPNP to Arbitrum

Abstract

This proposal seeks to gather feedback from vlMGP holders on whether Magpie should support Penpie’s PIP #20, which recommends consolidating all vlPNP activity to the Arbitrum network. The proposal involves sunsetting vlPNP support on Ethereum, BNB Chain, and Optimism and centralizing user participation and governance on Arbitrum. Magpie will align its vote on PIP #20 based on the outcome of this MIP.

Motivation

As Penpie continues to evolve, strategic consolidation offers a path toward stronger liquidity, simplified operations, and more cohesive governance. Centralizing vlPNP on Arbitrum is expected to reduce fragmentation, improve user experience, and drive innovation. Since Magpie holds vlPNP assets in its treasury, vlMGP holders play a key role in determining Magpie’s voting stance on this matter. This proposal ensures community alignment with Penpie’s vision and reinforces Magpie’s role as a meta-governance layer acting in the best interest of its stakeholders.
