Summary
We now must decide as a community what are our next steps towards shifting to our V2 ecosystem.
We have discussed different options on how Maia's supply and incentives can be managed and now must vote on which is the best path moving forward.
Options
Option 1
Keep apy at 100% until V2 launch.
Pros:
- Keep high incentives to stake Maia.
Cons:
- Potentially reaching +200k Total Supply at V2 launch.
Option 2
Drastically decrease apy until ~20% until V2 launch.
Pros:
- Keep some incentives to stake Maia.
- Would take 1 Months to reach +180k Total Supply and 3 Months to get to +185K, even if V2 launch is delayed we would be well under 190k Total Supply.
Cons:
- Incentives to stake are low.
Option 3
Set APY to 0 when reaching 180k Total Supply.
Pros:
- Maia would stay at 180k Total Supply.
Cons:
- There are no incentives to stake until V2.
Option 4
Set APY to 0 when reaching 180k Total Supply and turn on dividends.
Pros:
- Maia would stay at 180k Total Supply.
- Providing "Real yield" will attract new and more risk averse investors.
- Keep incentives to stake Maia until V2.
Cons:
- Could end up costing 5% of our non-ecosystem tokens treasury.
