MDP-02: Airdrop of $100 worth of domain name every month

After the sunset of the Mail3 beta, a user is required to own a supported domain name to unlock all the features of Mail3.

At this moment, there are ~8,000 users who don’t own a supported domain name. To this group of users, we will airdrop $100 worth of supported domain names to them and estimate airdropping to 10 users for each distribution. For every distribution, 10 users will be able to unlock all the features of Mail3, such as claiming a decentralized identity, sending email to traditional email, and more.

Transfer of Decision Right

Regarding the domain name, the Mail3 marketing team will initiate a vote, transferring the decision right to the Mail3 community to decide on the current selection, including ENS, Dotbit(.bit), and Unstoppable Domains.

There will be more selections in the future.

Implementation

1. We will create a Quest3 task on the 1st of every month. Qualified users will join the airdrop pool, and the winner will be drawn randomly.
2. A user who doesn’t own a supported domain name will receive an email from mail3.eth@mail3.me regarding the above Quest3 task.
3. The above Quest3 task will be displayed on Mail3 DApp.
4. There will be multiple risk control mechanisms to prevent airdrop hunting.
