MDP-03: Proposed Integration of SpaceID(.bnb) into Mail3

Dear Mail3 users,

Thank you for your support of Mail3! As the number of registered users on Mail3 has surpassed 300,000, with a weekly active user count exceeding 5,000, and has been steadily growing, we have noticed the expectation from the community for Mail3 to integrate with SpaceID.

Due to limited development resources, we need to assess how many Mail3 users hold SpaceID. Therefore, we have decided to ask users in the upcoming voting event if they would like Mail3 to integrate with SpaceID. If there are 5000 addresses holding .bnb domains participating in the voting and exceeding 5000 people, the team will consider dedicating a portion of development resources to integrate SpaceID. Additionally, the operation team will also include .bnb in the options for future airdrop activities.

The voting event will take place from 8 p.m. on February 22nd, 2023 to 8 p.m. on February 28th, 2023, and the snapshot time will be 7 p.m. on February 22nd, 2023. UTC+8

Only users holding .bnb domains can participate in this voting event.

If Mail3 integrates with SpaceID, you will enjoy the following features:

1. Generate email domains with .bnb as the suffix, such as mail3dao.bnb@mail3.me, and communicate with both Web2 email and Web3 addresses.
2. Use Web3 subscription features, publish articles, and generate a homepage like https://app.mail3.me/mail3dao.bnb, which your readers can subscribe to.
