During our originally planned Round 1 of Lever’s ITO (on May 4th), we detected several groups of bots trying to front-run users and attack the ITO Round 1 for Lever. Mask Network team has successfully stopped their attempt. However, due to the decentralized nature of the ITO smart contract, we cannot retrieve the $LEV token locked inside the May 4th’s ITO contract. Additionally, we have postponed the ITO to May 5th due to the attack and saw a much greater chance for retail investors to make a successful purchase. Both the Lever team and Mask team feel strongly about a fair launch for all kinds of users. We actively build against any attempts to seek unfair advantages over the most ordinary ITO user.
With strong community demand, we can update certain parameters of the ITO smart contract to change the unlocking time for the May 4th’s Round, so that the bots will not be able to claim these $LEV token in the originally planned time. For the first time, community members are not passive bearers of attacks by scientists but can enjoy fair launch and have the power to enforce fair launch.
We hereby create a community voting proposal on this issue. The voting session will start at 16:00 (UTC), May. 5th, 2021, and lasts for 24 hours. The quorum is 200,000 $MASK (the vote is not valid until there are at least 200,000 votes). We will update the parameter according to the choice with the highest vote.
Proposal: How should we change the unlock parameter about the unlocking time for May 4th’s $LEV token, attacked by bots and currently locked in the smart contract?
1: Increase it to 1 month (30 days) 2: Increase it to 3 years (1095 days) 3: Increase it to 2^48 seconds, the longest time we can lock it (8,919,594.29 years)
