#17 Approve Funding for Meebits Kicks

Meebits Kicks is a derivative NFT collection based on the shoes that Meebits wear.

It will be a free claim for all Meebit owners meaning that every Meebit owner will be able to claim an ERC-721 Ethereum-based NFT of the voxel shoes that their Meebit wears. There are 20,000 Meebits, therefore there will be 20,000 Meebits Kicks. The MeebitsDAO will earn revenue on secondary sales through a 5% creator fee on all sales platforms.

Initially, the voxel shoes will be identical to the Meebits shoes; however, in the future, we can "upgrade" the shoes into high-rendered 3D models, do artist collaborations, create Decentraland linked wearables, etc.

If funding is approved, we plan to drop Meebits Kicks in June.

The Meebits Kicks is the first phase of a larger plan to achieve sustainable revenue for the MeebitsDAO, create real value for MeebitsDAO members and Meebits holders, and foster the open metaverse with interoperable avatars and companions.

Phase 2 is to create Meepets, a derivative NFT collection inspired by the Meepets Tee trait. When minting your Meepet, you will be able to select your Meebits Kicks NFT and add those shoes to the Meepet. Essentially, your Meebit and Meepet can be wearing the same shoes.

The project plan and initial funding for Meepets will come in a future proposal.
