Proposal Summary: To maximize our impact and resources, we propose a Co-Lead model that prioritizes community-driven initiatives while ensuring efficient management. By eliminating the General Manager position, we can redirect those monthly funds towards community-driven deliverables. This allows the Co-Leads to manage the DAO's administrative tasks at no cost, maximizing resources for impactful projects focusing on three key areas.
Benefits for the Meebits Ecosystem:
Fostering a Thriving Community Active Social Media Presence for Community Growth: We'll utilize social media platforms like Twitter to connect with new collectors and amplify the reach of our 20,000 quality followers via the MeebitsDAO Twitter account. To ensure Meebits stays top-of-mind, we'll be ramping up our visibility with regular, engaging content (multiple posts weekly) that ignites conversations on Twitter. Rewarding Active Participation: We'll implement a reward system that recognizes and incentivizes active participation in the community. Rewarding artists, developers, community builders and more.
Building Connections and Value Re-engaging Current Collectors: We'll reignite excitement among existing Meebits holders by highlighting the unique value proposition and rich history (provenance) associated with Meebit ownership. Unveiling Collector Journeys: Through insightful interviews with Community Leaders and Top Creators, we'll showcase the success stories and expertise within the Meebits community, further demonstrating the value of being a member. These interviews will be amplified through Twitter Spaces and recorded to be repurposed as additional social media content in the form of snippets.
Empowering the Community Building a Central Hub: We'll create a user-friendly repository to centralize valuable resources, including the wealth of existing content created by our amazing community. This will make it easier than ever for members to find the information they need.
Conclusion: The Co-Lead model empowers the community by fostering active participation, maximizing resource allocation for impactful projects, and ensuring all spending delivers value. This fosters a vibrant and engaged community where members can thrive.
It is proposed that the Co-Leads serve for a term of 6 months.
Overall Cost: This proposal streamlines our operations and redirects resources towards impactful community projects. Eliminating the General Manager role frees up monthly funds from the treasury, which will be used to support community-driven initiatives. The Co-Leads will manage administrative tasks without additional expense, maximizing efficiency. Any use of treasury funds will be put forward to a DAO wide vote.
There is zero cost to the DAO to implement this new structure. The current $5,000/month that is being allocated to the general manager position will be used to push forward the aforementioned initiatives with the current treasury. The two appointed Co-Leads will serve the DAO on a volunteer basis.
